BUSINESS ESTATE CCTV SYSTEM UPGRADE PROJECT

In consultation with key representatives of Segensworth Business Forum (SBF), Croma security Solutions Group (CSS), designed and implemented a recently completed upgrade to the existing public area CCTV system.

The upgrade included the introduction of state of the art Bosch Security Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras at key junctions on the Business Estate, coverage of the underpass via two high level anti-vandal Bosch Security dome cameras, and coverage of Concorde Way.

The purpose of the Concorde Way coverage is to monitor potential issues from individuals entering Concorde Way via this route. This coverage is provided by the installation of a Bosch Security Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) dome camera. All cameras installed as part of the upgrade are over and above the existing Bosch Security MIC (“Big Brother”) PTZ cameras, and are all recorded via Bosch Security Digital Video Recorders.

A key development following the upgrade is the remote monitoring of the live and recorded CCTV images by the Control Room of Oak Park Security, who provide the mobile security across the Business Estate.

The expectation is that the new CCTV coverage and associated monitoring service, combined with the effective mobile patrols will both assist in reducing potential criminal and unsocial activity, and provide a good platform for the reporting of incidents captured by the CCTV system.

Claire Nutbrown, Director and Chair of the SBF Security Project Team, is delighted with these improved security measures saying:

“Segensworth Businesses frequently tell us that Security remains a key concern within the Estates.  The new CCTV coverage and associated monitoring service, combined with the effective mobile patrols, will act as part of our integrated deterrent aimed at discouraging crime and preventing Segensworth being seen as a ‘soft target’.  We intend to maintain our position of having one of the lowest crime rates for any Industrial Estate in the region”.
